Fractals have fascinated me ever since. So one day I started writing a fractal generator on my own. I spent a lot of time zooming around and adding more and more features to the software. In the end it grew quite powerful and complex:
The core code for the various kinds of fractals it could generate was all written in optimized Assembler, so it was pretty fast. It even had a very flexible visual curve designer, so you could automate parameters to batch-render frames and turn them into videos. Animating palettes, morphing fractals, zooming, rotating and other hot stuff? No problem!
Unfortunately I lost all the videos when my HDD crashed. And a lot of pictures too, I guess. But not all, have a look:
